Bronsky Orthodontics, reminding you to protect your mouth this fall

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

Let’s face it: sports-related injuries are common among children, let alone teens with braces. In a 2009 survey, the American Association of Orthodontists discovered that 70 percent of parents said their biggest worry is that their child will get hurt while playing sports. That’s why we at Bronsky Orthodontics are helping spread the word that many facial sports injuries can be prevented simply by reminding your kids to wear mouth guards. In addition, the AAO has provided the following tips for keeping your kids safe on the field this fall. Please remind them to:

• Wear mouth guards during contact sports
• Wear a helmet
• Stretch before and after a game or practice
• Wear protective eye wear
• Wear a face shield to avoid scratched or bruised skin
• Be observant—even as a spectator

All of these can reduce injuries. Only by using a mouth guard and other forms of facial protection can kids with and without braces avoid serious sports injuries. Be sure to avoid mouth guards that custom form to your teeth as these will resist any tooth movements our team at Bronsky Orthodontics are trying to achieve.

Give us a call if you have any questions about mouth guards or your treatment or ask us on Facebook!

Enjoy the long Thanksgiving weekend!

This Thanksgiving, what are you thankful for?

Tuesday, November 16th, 2010

With Thanksgiving approaching, we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to thank all of our patients and their families, our referring doctors and patients, and our own families for all their support, encouragement and help throughout the year! It took many years to build Bronsky Orthodontics and TriBeCa Orthodontics to be what they are now and we strive to keep giving back to our community to thank them for their participation in making us the best practice in the New York City area.

We hope everyone takes out the time this year to spend Thanksgiving with their families and friends —we consider you our family and we feel blessed to know you. Deepest Wishes for a wonderful Holiday from all of us at Bronsky Orthodontics and TriBeCa Orthodontics!!

It’s fall here for us at Bronsky Orthodontics, and now that Halloween is passed, we bet you and your families have begun to make plans for Thanksgiving.

Today we wanted to ask you, our wonderful patients, “How are you spending your time this fall?” Our team would love to hear about your favorite places for eating, shopping, and entertainment across Manhattan. We are interested in learning about what makes your community “yours.”

Feel free to post your responses on our Facebook page, or give us a call!

At Bronsky Orthodontics and TriBeCa Orthodontics we have the best orthodontists and staff in the New York City area. All three of our orthodontists have exceptional educational history and upbeat, caring and devoted personalities (as well as pony tails). Our rock and roll atmosphere helps to keep our patients at ease at each visit and our iPads maintain our paperless/green ideals as well as provide entertainment for our patients.

We provide a friendly and hospitable environment from the moment our patients check-in with our scheduling coordinators all the way to their adjustment appointments with our certified clinical assistants and orthodontists. Dr. Bronsky’s extra education in dental deformities helps span our practices knowledge and abilities to handle all patient behaviors and structural disharmonies. The love that Dr. Bronsky, Dr. Matos and Dr. Moon share for orthodontics is proven in their every day camaraderie to give each patient the best care available in New York!

Oh, and don’t forget to take some organic chocolate chip cookies on your way out.
