Influences
-
The Great Exemplar: Donald A. Bronsky, DDS taught me how to have fun every day while pursuing excellence in my work – right down to the last detail. He told me to "take delight in the people you see. See who they really are and your work will change from a profession to a labor of love." More from him: "Be relentless in furthering your education, go all-out to serve your patients and their families and make sure that you maintain your small town values in the big city. Always be the kid from Binghamton."
-
The Great Educator: William R. Proffit, DDS, PhD utilizes the Socratic method to teach his residents how to thoroughly think through a diagnosis and to define treatment options for individuals. He inspired us to improve the health of our patients and to pursue teaching as a means of staying professionally honest and current.
-
The Pioneer: Arnold M. Geiger, DDS established the practice in 1950. Dr. Geiger’s long-standing clinical excellence in private practice and lifelong research resulted in authorship of one of the most widely read textbooks of his era. His "tough-love" approach to teaching wizened me to the world of New York City. We merged our practices in 1994 and practiced together until his retirement in 1999.
